9 awake

It happened in reverse.  Algot Skog was animating the wake up scene from the script when he learned the song was cancelled.  There was no place for his animation in the Musical.  So it was decided that whatever he finished would be used for a trailer.

This was too good for a trailer.  The scene's humor and Algot's script details just had to be part of the movie.  So the scene was moved to later in the story and James Busvlogger was called in to create a song for it.  His task: sing something the same length as the video, help the scene make sense, and help move the story along.  His hilarious piece is one of four transitional songs.

were you awake enough to see...

  • The clock goes from 7:59 to 7:00.
  • The water glass contains a set of false teeth.
  • Link's bathroom is conveniently labeled "WC."
  • Rhett awakens slobbering and with stubble on his chin, as predicted by the Dream Genie.
Full scene without music.  To get the song to sync with the video in the final cut, the shots of Rhett and Link's houses here had to be removed.

Written and performed by James Busvlogger.  Animation by Algot Skog.
