19 I'm coming home

Our perfect ending was actually written for another movie and never used.  The song had been sitting on the website of Bongo and the Point as a free download.  Singer Dee Patton got the idea from the Gutless Wonders script that maybe Tucker is smarter than Rhett and Link (though the guys are "loving and good-hearted," she says).  So maybe it's not Rhett and Link who find the dog.  And the song tells that story very well.  Animator Melchior Stikkelman took the idea and gave Tucker his creative road trip.

along the way

  • Link's shirt has the Rhett and Link logo.
  • Both Rhett and Link are wearing Mythical Shoes.
  • As Tucker's driving to work, he passes a truck that says "Rhett and Link."
  • The first gondola is carrying artist Melchior Stikkelman.  No word on why both lifts are #24.
  • Rhett and Link's logo appears again on Tucker's phone.
  • The Bongo and the Point mascot appears on Link's shirt at the campfire.
  • Tucker's trolley enters Buies Creek, NC, childhood home of Rhett and Link.
  • A sign on the trolley says "missing," with Tucker's picture and the last instance of 555.
The billboards reference the following:
  • Barber Shop earlier scene in the movie, and possibly the Unibrow song.
  • Cafe Guacamole: Drinks, Food and Music  The Guacamole Song
  • Mosquito Sucks Mosquitos Suck
  • Best Pillow Ever $1.99  My Favorite Pillow
  • New Photoshop  Photoshop Song
  • Facebook Song  Facebook Song
  • Subway  earlier scene
  • Rednecks search is still on in NC

Written and performed by Bongo and the Point.  Animated by Melchior Stikkelman.

The screenshot above shows Tucker going home.  To avoid any possibility of spoilers, Melchior made a version without Tucker so the shot could be used on the site before the premiere.
