11 welcome to the show!
(WDM remix)

The song is a medley of three original tunes by Camilo Carrasco: What Part is This, Welcome to the Show, and Gurus.

CCW Crew was actually the third Lego team assigned to this scene.  And at one point it was almost a puppet scene.  It finally got made, in one day.  "This is clearly my first attempt at stop motion," says Donna Williams.  "The floor and the door keep moving. The entire scene is jumpy.  But my nephews had this Lego app and it helped a lot.  I would love the chance to do more stop motion.  It was fun!"

brick by brick

  • In the script, the chicken leg argument covers two scenes.  Rhett and Link begin their discussion on the phone, then watch experts argue about it on video (yes, VHS).  The show they watch is called Weekly Discussion in the Morning.  This is one of three scenes about TV in the script so for the Musical, the show was changed to a web broadcast that the boys host.
  • Set designer Zachary got the idea for the battles from Camilo's music.  It was a great way to feature Lego characters and action figures.  It was also a way to make Rhett and Link's web show look like it was produced by 14-year-olds.
  • The Battle scenes are Star Wars (Obi-Wan Kenobi v. Darth Vader), Captain America v. aliens, Batman v. Joker, dinosaurs, and Lord of the Rings (Pippin, Gimli, & Legolas v. cave troll).  And a Michael Jacksonesque character moonwalks at the end.
  • Thankfully, Lego has a chicken leg but as you learned from GMM, no beef piece!
Music and performance by Camilo Carrasco and Nicolas Varela.
Lyrics by Rhett and Link.  Music edited by Reece Hart.
Stop motion by CCW Crew and Donna Williams.  Video edited by Kevin Hilt.
