12 somebody stole my dog

As one of four transitional songs, this scene was a late addition.  To save time, The Armstrong Brothers were going to use the track they created for their award-winning Thoughtful Guy cover.  But it wasn't working so John created a new, even smoother track and the song was completed.   

Somewhere in the process, an animator backed out, pushing production even later.  So editor and animator Kevin Hilt volunteered to create the scene.  It was then he learned that in two scenes already completed, Professor Mac was drawn as Kevin's cameo.  It was going to be a surprise, but at that point he had to know.  Kevin kept the continuity, making the Professor an animated self-portrait. 

wonderin' if anybody's seen...

• Rhett and Link are wearing Mythical Shoes.  
• Professor Mac is shopping the Buies Creek Tubule Store.
• One of the items on the Professor's chalkboard is the Triforce from The Legend of Zelda.
• The menu at the end from Julian Cafe is referencing a Julian Smith video which Rhett and Link have a cameo in called Eat Randy.
