6 tucker's amazing ability

The Armstrong Brothers' flawless original version of the song did not include the opening narrative.  That was added when it was realized there was no TV station scene in the script.  So Ben Armstrong added a few lines to reference the interview.

Stop motion animators Megan Yancey and Kjersti Shiffler of Meganmind worked feverishly to finish their scene before Kjersti moved out of town.  You can read more of their animating story on the Meganmind page.

scene facts

  • Animator Megan Yancey's hands make a brief clapping appearance that editor Kevin Hilt looped to complete the scene.
  • The original song lyrics have Link and Tucker on the way to the TV studio instead of leaving it, but the lines were changed to fit the added narration.
  • Meganmind's scene was shot before musician cameos were added, so the officer is not anyone in particular (that we know of).
Ben and John perform their song, originally for the end credits.
But end credit music videos were scrapped for technical reasons.

My Favorite Pillow music by Rhett and Link.
Produced and arranged by John Armstrong.  Lyrics by Ben Armstrong.
Performed by Armstrong Bros Band.
Stop motion animation by Megan Yancey and Kjersti Shiffler.
